Ruskin Library loans pictures to major exhibition.

The Ruskin Library is loaning two works by John Ruskin to the exhibition ‘Pre-Raphaelites: Victorian Avant-Garde’ which opens tomorrow (12th September) at Tate Britain. The works ‘Mountains of Villeneuve’, 1846, and ‘Mountain Rock and Alpine Rose’, 1844 reflect the attention to detail and truth to nature principals which the Pre-Raphaelites later used.
